What if magic truly did exist? What if there were beings that could travel the infinite worlds via portals of magic, and you were to apprentice to one of them, in the form of the Marquis de Hoto, a rabbit magician. An evil spell is cast across the portal worlds, of course, as you begin to learn your new trade. It will be up to you, and you alone, to stop the progress of evil.
Developed and published by Hamburg-based Daedalic Entertainment, The Night Of The Rabbit promises to be an adventurous, beautifully hand-drawn game for Mac and PC, coming May 29, 2013.
As you make your way through the story, you’ll discover more of the Marquis’ secrets, sinister and otherwise, moving through the mysterious world of Mousewood and other portal worlds. The game has beautiful, hand-drawn high resolution graphics, and an extensive soundtrack to draw you in further, including fully-voiced dialogue, as you can hear in the trailer. There will be puzzles to solve aplenty, promises the developer, so you’ll need to bring your wits to the table.
There will also be a ton of extras, like an audio book, card deck, and stickers that will enrich the game and story experience, letting you learn more about the people of Mousewood.
The Night of the Rabbit will support OS X Lion and up, and needs at least a 2 GHz Dual Core Intel processor with a minimum of 2 G RAM and 6 G HD space to run. Be on the lookout for a digital release at the end of this month.
Free your imagination and lose yourself in a tale of magic and wonder, where anything is possible and where nothing is quite as it seems. Join young Jerry and follow a peculiar white rabbit to the wondrous realm of Mousewood, a land where critters can speak and mystery abounds. It is here that Jerry’s dream of being a magician comes true, though a haunting, sinister force casts a long shadow over the forest. As the dark power rises, the residents of Mousewood have only Jerry to turn to. On an adventure full of laughter and tears, joy and fear, the young boy will face the ultimate trial, leaving behind the world he once knew, and his childhood, too, will become a thing of the past.
